MESSAGE FROM THE ESTATE MANAGER

Dear Residents,

February has already come and gone, and with the arrival of March, our community events calendar begins to gather momentum once again.

February introduced a few exciting firsts for the Estate, including our trial Farmer’s Market and a Pet Expo. The response to the Farmer’s Market exceeded expectations, with strong resident support confirming exactly what we had hoped — that this event has wonderful potential to grow into a regular highlight on our calendar. Details of the next Farmer’s Market will be shared soon, and residents can look forward to another memorable day in the Estate.

While February is traditionally known as the month of love, our event line-up catered not only to couples, but also to families, friends and, of course, our furry residents. The Pet Expo proved to be a great success, featuring a convenient vaccination and microchipping pop-up alongside a variety of stalls offering pet essentials — and, naturally, a selection of gourmet treats that many FWG pets have come to expect. Residents also benefited from access to Identipet services and animal behaviour consultations, all supporting a worthy cause.

The Gardens Bistro hosted a Valentine’s Night Market which, unfortunately, fell victim to the weather. We nevertheless extend our thanks to those residents who supported the event before the rain arrived. The Valentine’s Party that followed showcased the lighter, social side of the occasion, bringing together couples and friends for an enjoyable evening.

Taking advantage of clear weather between the rains, our maintenance team made excellent progress addressing potholes throughout the Estate. Several common-area gardens have also received welcome attention, contributing to the continued upkeep and enhancement of our shared spaces. We are also pleased to note the increasing demand for Fourways Gardens as a filming location for advertisements — further affirmation of the Estate’s enduring appeal.

Enhancements to the Fourways Gardens App continue as additional functionality is rolled out. The integrated Access, Bookings and Communications platform allows residents to remain informed about service interruptions, upcoming events and important Estate matters, while also providing supplementary access options to ensure there is always a convenient way home.

March promises to be another lively month. Our Family Campout takes place early in the month, followed by an educational and fun EcoKids event on 14 March. The Gardens Bistro will also be hosting a St Patrick’s celebration, promising a festive day of enjoyment for all ages — residents are encouraged to book early to avoid disappointment. Sláinte!

Another much-anticipated highlight is our annual Easter Egg Hunt, taking place on the final Sunday of March. With plenty of treats, laughter and family entertainment planned — including a jumping castle and face painting — it promises to be a memorable day for residents of all ages.

We extend our sincere thanks to residents for their enthusiastic support of our new trial events and for the strong community spirit that continues to inspire us to expand and improve our programme of Estate activities.

Warm regards,

Charlene
